His love of mountain bikes started as a 10 year old when a Scottish downhill race was hosted in his village on the West Coast of Scotland near Oban in 1999. When his parents bought him a hardtail from the local bike shop for Christmas he was never off his bike from that point on. And things haven't changed much over the last few decades and he still has the same drive and determination to explore, push himself and race at the highest level.

Since entering his first race in 2000 he progressed to racing at an Elite level straight from Juniors. I spent five years racing on the World Cup downhill circuit representing Great Britain at the World Championships and European Championships. Being part of Edinburgh University’s prestigious Individual Sports Performance Programme allowed him to continue to compete and following success within Downhill made the move to Enduro racing in 2014. Twice crowned Scottish Enduro Series Champion in 2014 and 2016, Chris has won numerous Enduro races and placed top 50 in the 2015 World Enduro Series rankings.
